We arrived in Vietnam at around 5:30 this morning, and took a day trip to Saigon. Vietnam is a third world country, still under communist rule, but with some capitalist tendencies. We saw many sites around the city, including the post office, designed by Eiffel (of Eiffel tower fame), the reunification hall, chinatown, the u.s. Embassy where the war ended, and many other spots. We are headed back to the port now, and I am typing this on my phone aboard the bus. Photos to follow!
